Here is a list of videos that provide useful information for everyone from the beginning collector to advanced collectors

This first video addresses the debate over stamp collecting versus coin collecting, posted by Ryan Joneson of the West Coast Stamp Company.  He explains some of the attractions of both hobbies and how stamp collecting offers a greater variety of opportunities to create unique collections.

The second video provides a nice introduction to stamp collecting for the beginner and explains some of the basics that a new collector should know.

The third video explains one of the most popular stamp collecting topics, astrophilately.  Astrophilately refers to collecting stamps and covers related to space exploration, space flights, rockets, astronauts, and the study of outer space.

The fourth video is based on the topic of Zeppelin collecting.  The term Zeppelin refers to the first airships that had a metal structural skeleton covered with rubberized cloth and filled with hydrogen.  These airships first appeared as passenger and mail carrying airships in 1909 and remained as such until WWI when they were all transferred to  German military control and became war ships until 1918.  Beginning in 1928, Zeppelins resumed passenger and mail service and continued until 1937 when the Hindenburg Zeppelin exploded.  Collectors seek mail (envelopes and post cards)  that were transported on pre-WWI Zeppelins, the Graf Zeppelin and the Hindenburg.

The fifth video shows 60 rare and valuable stamps and the process for identifying, grading, and certifying them. Ryan Joneson, who started the West Coast Stamp Company,  explains what makes two stamps which look alike different in value and how you can begin to tell the difference between the two.  He also explains what certification is and how that can not only enhance the value of a stamp, but also make it easier to sell that stamp.

The sixth video features the stamp collection of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who was a long time stamp collector and who helped promote stamp collecting as the preeminent hobby in the United States during the 1940s and 1950s.
